The Multi-Project Resource Usage view in the new release of Planzone

In our article on the launch of the new release of Planzone, we mentioned one of the new improvements of this release: the multi-project resource usage view.

This view is the multi-resource version of the "My Schedule" view and at the same time the multi-project version of Resource usage view in "Project / Planning". By inheritance, all features available in the project resource usage view and the "My Schedule" are also in the multiproject resource usage view. These improvements allow you to :

• Collapse and expand the allocations, the projects and the resources

• Modify the hours allocated on each activity

• Modify the percentage completion on each actitity

The main advantage of the multi-project resource usage view is that, as a project manager, it allows you to :

• See the utilization of each resource on each project.

• Identify any utilization problems quickly and easily via color coding.  (Overloads are shown in progressive shades from yellow through to red as the overload becomes more severe.)

• See what allocations contribute to the overload.

• To immediately make changes to resolve the incident so that the progress of the project is not delayed.
