We are pleased to announce that we just delivered a new version of Planzone. This update offers new features as well as enhancements to existing functions.
The Planzone wiki whiteboard tool allows you to quickly create online content as if you were using a word processor in a Web page. The content is shared with all project team members. It also allows you to centralize key project information and links to online content (intranet, other servers) and Web pages. We just added the capability to add images to your wiki pages so that you can insert diagrams, photos or graphs (.jpg, .png files and other image formats) into a wiki page, as you would do using Microsoft Office desktop software. We integrated a media gallery browsing tool to allow you to quickly view all your shared images and then insert them into your wiki pages. Finally, creating new wiki pages has also been simplified with the addition of a “create page” button and dialog box. Each wiki page is unique and can be linked to from another HTML page. You also get a view of all your pages to easily create links between pages. And don’t forget to use the “search” function to navigate in your wiki space
Defining a
new project from scratch always takes time to input timeline data and many of
our users have asked to be able to import into Planzone project data they work
on in Microsoft Project. This feature
allows you to quickly create a new project timeline in Planzone by simply
importing your MSP file.
In addition to these new features, we also made a number of enhancements and added new, less visible, features, based on user feedback. Check out the Planzone Forum for more detailed information.
