During their Master's year, one of the projects for the students is to plan “The Studio” a Transmedia project.

The very definition of a Transmedia project means that it is composed of multidisciplinary teams so the students work in groups of 3 or 4.

Before choosing Planzone his needs were as follows: - to provide students with a cloud based solution not needing local installation. - have the opportunity to evaluate their interaction in a project. - have storage space available for coursework documents. |
Centralize projects in a 3 tools in 1
Mr. Compérat was looking for a solution that had 3 tools in 1, with: - a collaborative workspace - online document sharing - a schedule Mr. Compérat was recommended Planzone by a consultant in Project Management and decided to try it out with his Masters' students for three main reasons: - the software was available in several local languages including French. - there was no installation required and could be paid for on a monthly subscription. - it integrates well with Google Docs. He set up a project in Planzone made up of three sessions for the "Project Management Tools" course. With Planzone Mr. Compérat was able to: - attach all the course materials to the project. - communicate with students on various topics: submission dates and reminders. In turn, each group of students was able to create and use a Planzone project that allowed them to : |
- create a schedule - assign todo's - collaborate with members of the project team to complete assigned reports in a timely manner. - understand the importance of the Project Manager role in the control of project resources and in the writing down of decisions arrived at during meetings, giving each project member equal access to all information, allowing them to properly achieve objectives. One of the other advantages of Planzone within education is that through the weekly activity reports by e-mail, the teacher has an overview of: - actions taken. - how students structure their project. - communications between students about the project.
