Web H2O and Planzone

One of our primary goals, at Planzone, is to provide our customers with a tool that allows them to have a clear overview on the progress of their projects and the work of each employee.

It is our goal that customers should be able to directly modify the data and manage their problems when they see them.

We would like to share with you the experience of Antoine Detis - Production Manager of Web H20 - who kindly agreed to share his experience of Planzone in his business.

Presentation

Web H20 is a start-up that was founded in 2008. The agency specializes in website development and online marketing and has clients in France, Spain, Mexico, China, etc.

The global reputation of the agency is also illustrated through its humanitarian commitment, as a sponsor of UNICEF supporting aid to children in Mozambique (Africa).

More than a dozen people work on the creation of Web projects, long-term follow-up, maintenance and ensuring that all the latest upgrades are installed. To stay ahead in such a competitive industry the agency has their own state-of-the-art technology :

  • a powerful development platform that offers a wide range of operations available for each project by using a modular approach and resulting in significant time saving and flexibility.
  • a rich back-office for each project, where each module can be managed and the entire content changed "in situ". The Back Office is centralized, which allows Web H20 to make frequent upgrades that immediately reach all their customers.



The challenge

With an increased workload and more clients, Web H20 needed to find a solution that could efficiently handle and manage multiple projets. Simplicity was a priority but they also needed to:

  • develop delivery protocols for each client.
  • coordinate employee production.

After an extensive search and a comparative study of different solutions available, the agency found that Planzone fulfilled all their requirements.

When we asked Antoine during our interview to describe Planzone in three words he said: “projects, schedules” and “teamwork”.


The solution

The Production Department, headed by Antoine, uses Planzone daily to manage projects. Often each client has multiple projects and Planzone enables them to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

As soon as Antoine arrives at the office he opens Planzone and he is presented with a clear overview of the day's tasks. The Multi-Project Schedule allows him to prioritize and make decisions related to each, individual project accordingly.


Advantages

Following the acquisition of Planzone and its implemention, the two main advantages have been time-saving and the benefit gained from using the guidelines for implementing concurrent projects.

With the Multi-Projet Schedule, Antoine visualizes the progress and can anticipate any overloaded resources for the week and take steps to hire extra staff if neccessary. This prevents periods where projects accumulate or fall behind schedule. In this way Antoine and his team are able to give more precise scheduling dates to their clients.

Web H20 make frequent use of the Discussions tab to keep track of feedback from customers. A new thread is created for each client and project participants can contribute comments. This prevents misunderstandings and each individual has an integral involvement through this direct connection. In addition, a complete customer history is searchable by all members of the project team.
